Quotation
Setting a price, that is to say a balanced price for a given security in the light of the supply and demand situation for the security. There are several types of quotations, depending on the market (continuous or fixing).
Quotation on the continuous market
A quotation occuring throughout the day allowing investors to buy or sell any time the market is open. The continous market is the opposite of fixing.
