Trackers

A tracker is an index funds listed on the stock exchange. This product allows to invest in a diversified portfolio through one single transaction. These products offer the performance of an index or a basket of shares and combine the advantages of shares (simplicity, continuous quotations etc) with those of traditional funds (access to vast choice of stocks, diversification).

When you invest in a tracker, you invest in the performance of the index; it avoids buying the various shares of the index separately. For example, you buy BEL20 tracker. If the BEL20 grows by 1%, your tracker will increase by 1% as well.

The most known indexes are the great "shares" indexes of the world: Dow Jones, S&P, CAC40, BEL20, … but also raw materials index (gold, oil) or bond index.

A tracker combines the simplicity of a share with the diversification of traditional funds.
